For our double-reeds we exclusively use reed cane supplied by our French partner Anches Neuranter Glotin. The cane has been stored for 10 years, and we personally pick it up at the storage facilities in France. After determining the hardness the cane is sorted into three categories (length: 120mm):
soft: < .58
medium: .58 - .59
hard: above >.60

According to the qualities of the cane the thickness of the gouged reed canes is 1.25 mm with a tolerance of .05mm. The unit prices (sales tax and shipping included) for gouged canes at a minimum order of 20 are: 1.90 € (soft), 2.00 € (medium), 2.10 € (hard).
